Public Money for Israel’s F-35 bomber jets?
Since 2024, the Act Now community has campaigned to discover the truth about whether public money is being awarded to arms companies in Northern Ireland linked to the supply of parts for F-35 fighter jets - being used in Israel’s bombing of Gaza.
We broke the news when the Belfast Telegraph reported on our Freedom of Information requests that revealed millions of pounds of public money going to NI-based companies linked to the F-35 fighter jet. This happened because hundreds of you signed the petition calling on then Economy Minister Conor Murphy to come clean on the funding.
Since then, this work has snowballed into an unstoppable and powerful campaign. When we got over 1600 signatures, we sent out dozens of press releases and exposed the funding in a national newspaper. When our community delivered our petition to the Department for the Economy and sent thousands of emails to local politicians, Minister Caomihe Archibald announced a review on all public funding to arms companies.
On Thursday 26th June 2025 , Act Now launched its member-funded ‘Invest NI, F-35s and Israel: Public Money for War Crimes?’ report. Click on the image below to read the report!
Act Now is currently exploring how to best support a possible judicial review into the legality of Invest NI providing public money to these firms.
