We are recruiting for a Campaigner!

Job Title: Campaigner

Salary: €35,000 FTE (0.6 pro rata)

Responsible to: Project Coordinator

Location: Remote working

Duration: 1 year, with extension subject to funding

2. Background

Act Now is an emerging people-powered campaigning community for Northern Ireland.

There’s never been an organisation like Act Now in Northern Ireland. Established in partnership with Uplift and 38 Degrees, we are building a progressive community across Northern Ireland that can be mobilised quickly to take action across a range of different issues. We are making digital campaigning tools and support available to all here who want to start their own campaign. And as a community, we’ve already run successful campaigns on Energy Payments, integrated education, climate, reproductive rights, and mental health protections for our young people.

What we offer

We are a fully remote working team, and offer a Working from Home allowance, as well as 5% contributory pension following completion of a six month probation period. We offer 25 days of paid holiday pro rata, plus extended closure over Christmas and New Year. Our staff are also enrolled in a Employee Assistance Programme, a confidential counselling and support service for employees. You will also have access to excellent training and personal development opportunities with international campaigners through our link with the OPEN Network.

The Campaigner will be employed by Uplift in the short term, while Act Now transitions to become a legally incorporated organisation in Northern Ireland.
